The chapter quiz on Lesson 1 on Monday (9/10) will cover the following:

• The content is from Lesson 1
• Be familar with the contexts of the following:
  • 어느 계절을 제일 좋아하세요? 여름보다 겨울이 더 좋아요. 왜요?
  • 날씨가 갑자기 추워졌지요? 따뜻하던 날씨가 추워졌어요.
  • 이번 주말에 야구장 안 갈래요? 야구장 갈 때 두꺼운 옷을 입고 오세요. 지난 번 야구장 갔을 때 너무 추워서 혼났어요.
  • Key grammar patterns to study: ~어/아지다, ~잖아요, . . . -보다 더, ~던, ~(으)ㄹ 때, ~(으)면, ~는 것/거
• Make sure to be able to describe the change of weather, comparing the current weather with the one that had lasted before (Use ~던).
• Be familiar with weather terms including 맑다, 흐리다, 따뜻하다, 덥다, 춥다, 시원하다, 선선하다, 바람이 불다, 비가 오다, 기온이 올라가다/떨어지다.
• Go over the recording assignment questions. Some questions will be given orally, and some in writing in Engish . You MUST use the patterns you learned in your answers.
• Weathercast narration. Given a weather page, you will be asked to write a weathercast narration. Go over the narration for the format.

* Oral Performance on Sep. 14 (금): You will have a pannel like dialogue among 4~5 of yours, a free conversation about the topics covered in the first two lessons, 날씨와 계절 & 옷과 유행.

• Your favorite fashion style
• Your view on the current fashion trend
• Your shopping practices

  • Make sure you understand where to use: ~(으)려고 하다, ~(으)려고(요), ~(으)려면, . . .~기가 좋다/나쁘다/어렵다/편하다, . . 말고, ~어/아도 돼요 vs. ~(으)면 안 돼요, ~(으)ㄴ/는/(으)ㄹ 것 같아요
  • Be ready to answer the questions you had on recording assignment #2 as well as the ones covered in class on Thursday and Friday. the question may be given orally or in written form.
  • Be familiar with the scene of clothing shopping.
