Drill:
Answer the given questions, expressing your intention in the deferential style.

Speaking
Activity:
1. Restaurant scene 1: 4 or 5 people in a group (1 server, 1 host, 2 or 3 guests)
- The server asks to place an order: 뭐 드시겠습니까? [The server must speak formally.]
- The host asks the guests: What would you like to eat? [The host can be either formal or informal]
- One or two guests assert his or her preference [Use ~(으)ㄹ래요]
- The other or others be more modest and apologetic. [Use ~(으)ㄹ게요.]
2. Restaurant scene 2: You are meeting a customer
in a fancy restaurant. Act out from the very beginning when you meet this person
to the end when you depart each other. Use the Deferential style as much as you can. Do the following steps:
- Greeting
- Waiter comes. Ask to order
food and/or drink.
- The host asks the guests: What would you like to eat?
- Express your appreciation
of food.
- Ask what the customer
would like to/intends to do about the project in question.
- Take-leave greeting.
