The subject particle -��/�� is used when one simply gives a propositional content, indexing the sheer relation of the attached element with the predicate without implicating any discourse organization.
[NOTE]
The Topic Particle -��/�� is used when the predication is made for a unique attribute/characteristics of the referent, as in generic statements, in which the referent is inherently in contrast with another.

LIkewise, the Topic particle is used when a comparison/contrast is made with another referent.
In both cases, the Topic Particle -��/�� overrides the Subject Particle -��/�� for a special purpose of communication on the part of the speaker.
